Description
The Tillandsia Schiedeana originally grows in semi-arid areas in Mexico, Central-America, Venezuala, West-Indies and Colombia. This air plant has been found growing on cacti and burseras on steep dry slopes at elevations of approximately 200 to 1700 meters. The Tillandsia Schiedeana is named after the botanist Christian Julius Wilhelm Schiede.
This air plant is has a unique form with thin and stiff green leaves that grow sidewise form the center spike of the plant. In addition, this tillandsia species forms a big inflorescence with little yellow and reddish flowers. The Tillandsia Schiedeana prefers a bright and sunny environment and requires moderate watering. Spraying the air plant once or twice a week is perfect, preferably with our air plants care spray.
