LUFTPFLANZEN: PLANTEN, DIE OHNE ERDE GEDEIHEN<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Was<\/strong> ist eine Air Plant (eine Luftpflanze)?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Luftpflanzen ben\u00f6tigen nur wenig Wasser, da sie von der Luftfeuchtigkeit leben k\u00f6nnen. Es handelt sich hier um Pflanzen, die keine oder nur ganz kleine Wurzeln haben, die dann auch nur dazu dienen, der Pflanze Halt zu geben. Man nennt sie auch Epiphyten oder Aufsitzerpflanzen. Das sind Pflanzen, die auf anderen Pflanzen wachsen. Ihre N\u00e4hrstoffe entziehen sie der Luftfeuchte und dem Regen, und zwar \u00fcber kleine Schuppen, die sich auf den Bl\u00e4ttern befinden. Eine Airplant ben\u00f6tigt also keine Erde, um wachsen und sogar bl\u00fchen zu k\u00f6nnen. Es gibt seltsame Luftpflanzen, die violett-gelbe Bl\u00fcten hervorbringen. Manche Arten f\u00e4rben sich rot w\u00e4hrend der Bl\u00fctezeit!<\/p>\n

Woher kommen die Luftpflanzen?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Diese au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlichen Pflanzen kommen urspr\u00fcnglich aus tropischen Regionen, vor allem aus Mittel- und S\u00fcdamerika.\u00a0Unsere Airplants werden aus Stecklingen oder Samen gez\u00fcchtet.<\/p>\n

Wie alt sind die Luftpflanzen?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Die meisten Pflanzen, denen Sie begegnen, sind mehr als zwei Jahre alt. Eine Ausnahme bildet die Tillandsia Xerographica, die im Durchschnitt mehr als vier Jahre alt ist und bis zu 20 Jahre alt werden kann.<\/p>\n

Was haben die Tillandsien mit den Luftpflanzen zu tun?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Die Pflanzengattung hei\u00dft Tillandsia, aber die Bezeichnung \u201eAirplant\u201c (Luftpflanze) wird h\u00e4ufiger verwendet. Sie geh\u00f6rt zur Familie der Bromeliengew\u00e4chse, wobei die Air Plant die besondere Eigenschaft hat, zum Gedeihen keine Erde zu ben\u00f6tigen.<\/p>\n

Wieviel verschiedene Arten der Luftpflanzen gibt es?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Es gibt mehr als 500 verschiedene Tillandsien-Arten<\/a>! Zu den bekanntesten Arten z\u00e4hlen die\u00a0Tillandsia ionantha<\/a>, Tillandsia abdita<\/a>, Tillandsia multiflora<\/a>, Tillandsia juncea<\/a>, Tillandsia caput medusae<\/a>, Tillandsia magnusiana<\/a>, Tillandsia circinata<\/a>, Tillandsia harrisii<\/a>, Tillandsia schiedeana<\/a>, Tillandsia usneoides<\/a> und die Tillandsia Xerographica<\/a> (auch bekannt als der K\u00f6nig der Luftpflanzen). Wie pflege ich meine Luftpflanzen?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Air Plants ben\u00f6tigen nur wenig Pflege. Sie m\u00f6gen es, wenn man sie ab und zu mit unserem Tillandsia-Pflegespray<\/a> bespr\u00fcht; im Sommer vorzugsweise einmal in der Woche und im Winter einmal alle zwei Wochen. Wenn Ihnen Ihre Airplant vertrocknet vorkommt, darf sie ruhig etwas \u00f6fter bespr\u00fcht werden. Sie k\u00f6nnen die Luftpflanzen auch 2 bis 3 Stunden in ein Gef\u00e4\u00df mit Wasser eintauchen. Dann saugt sich die Pflanze voll, wodurch sie wieder ganz zur Bl\u00fcte kommen kann. Luftpflanzen k\u00f6nnen, bei Temperaturen zwischen 5 und 35 Grad Celsius, sowohl drinnen als auch drau\u00dfen gehalten werden. Sie d\u00fcrfen jedoch nie in der vollen Sonne stehen.<\/p>\n
